World Record Twister
On Friday June 18th at 12:30pm., all students in Belchertown, grades K-12 will participate in a single game of Twister to attempt to break the current record for the largest Twister game board ever played on. The current holder for the largest game board is the University of Tulsa, OK with a measurement of 39m (128 ft) by 36.2m (119 ft), set on October 23, 2008.
For each brick sold by a student, or bought by a sponsor, a dollar will be set aside to purchase prize packs in denominations of $100. With a goal of 10,000 bricks for use in the playground’s walkways, this could equal $10,000 in prize packs. Each brick sold becomes a raffle ticket for students to win prizes in the drawing on the day of the event. Sponsors that purchase bricks can donate that raffle ticket to a specific student, or donate it to a student that was unable to sell any bricks.
